When we first decided to start live streaming and making videos, it was difficult to figure out exactly where to start.

Even once we decided which site to start with, it was hard to figure out how everything worked, and how to best utilize the tools of the site from the beginning.

Some of the sites offer extra exposure to potential customers during the first week to month of time, and not knowing what you’re doing during that first bit of time can seriously hinder your initial sucess, and slow the growth of your brand.

The below information is what we wish we had known when we first started.

Some of the links will be affiliate links. It doesn’t change anything for you or cost you money, but it does help support us and we’d really appreciate it if you use them.

For any questions, email us at AliceAndMrRight@gmail.com and we’ll help any way we can.

Some general notes before we get into the sites themselves:

  • All of these sites will ask you for personal information. It’s required by law for them to verify your age and identity before they can let you post content on their platform. You will need to upload the front and back of your driver’s license or other identification, and sometimes other random things like a picture of your ID next to your face, or holding a sign with the name of the site and the date. They will also need your bank account information in order to pay you. This is normal, and they will not share your information with anyone. Any of the sites listed below are safe for you to give your information, however please be careful when sharing this information on sites that are less well known. This is not to say that you shouldn’t explore less well known sites, but please do your research and be safe!
  • Read the terms of service thoroughly for each site you plan to use. A lot of them have random things you can’t do or use in your content that you wouldn’t expect. For example, Chaturbate requires that you check with them before using fucking machines and get them approved. They also say you can’t use animal dildos, including dragon dildos. However these are fine on other sites like ManyVids. PornHub operates differently and you can do pretty much anything you want.
  • I suggest getting a Twitter account. A lot of people use Instagram as well, however Insta doens’t allow you to post nudity, while Twitter does. Having some kind of social media is really valuable as a way to connect with your audience, gain a larger audience, and also as a way to sell additional content.
  • Once you’re on several platforms, a website or an “all my links” page is helpful so you can direct customers to a single place where they can find you on all of your various platforms. Keep in mind if you decide to make a website that most builders (i.e. Squarespace) won’t allow you to post adult content. If you want help setting up a website, please feel free to send us an email.
  • If you ever decide to sell content directly to consumers, it will be difficult to get a payment processor to work with you, and almost impossible to get a business bank account if you decide you want one. I’ll add more information about that if I ever find a good solution.

Now, without further ado… the site info.

ManyVids

ManyVids is a primarily a site where you can sell videos.

It also offers a lot of other services:

  • Custom videos
  • A membership based streaming service
  • Physical items such as lingerie and toys
  • The “Crush Club”, which is similar to OnlyFans
  • Video chat, texting, and calling services
  • Fundraising
  • MVLive (ManyVids live streaming service)

ManyVids works on a kind of “popularity” system, where you get points according to how active you are on their site, and how many videos you sell. This prevents people from putting up a lot of crappy content and profiting from it, but also means that if you take a break from posting, it may take you a while to get back on track with selling videos. This is contrasted with Clips4Sale, which works primarily with a “most recent” method. So potentially, if you took a break on Clips4Sale, you could get back on track imediately upon your return.

I personally like their site better than a lot of others. It’s intuitive and easy to use, and they offer a lot of services that the others don’t (listed above), and that it’s difficult to find a payment processor to handle.

MV has certain steps you have to take before you get your “NewCummer” badge. Once earned, I think it gets you 6 months of additional exposure to customers. I would make sure to post a lot during that time, and make sure to have some services available as well. Custom videos are especially popular, add some spice and variety to your content with ideas you may not have thought of yourself, and can make you a ton of money. Once you have a custom vid made you can usually sell it as a regular video as well (unless the customer asks you not to), earning additional money from it.

You set all your own prices and can change them anytime. You earn a certain percentage of the sale, depending on what it is. Click here for their current payout rates.

Clips4Sale

Clips4Sale is primarily a site to sell videos. Their services reflect that as well. They have a membership option where customers can stream all of your videos for a monthly fee. They also offer sales of physical DVD’s, and photos.

I don’t like their site layout and useability as much as ManyVids, but I do like how they don’t factor popularity into their algorythm.

Chaturbate

Chaturbate is a livestreaming platform. You can livestream using a webcam (or your phone), and chat via text with viewers.

Their platform is pretty complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it is awesome.

AP Clips

AP Clips is a site where you can sell your videos. They are less popular and don’t draw as much of their own traffic, but have a higer payout rate than the others so are a good option if you already have your own fan base and want to make more money from the sites you send them to. They offer tiered payout percentages so the mroe you sell, the higher percentage you make.
